COOKING!!

While we all hate the pandemic and long to be outside in the mountains, or in a nice hotel somewhere, one positive thing is the amount of new things i have learned to cook and bake.

They include:

Spanish style garlic shrimp

Homemade Sourdough bread

Vinegar from Apple peels and cores (yes! and its tasty)

canned pickled onions from the garden

he-man relish (also from the garden)

pepper relish (same)




old fashioned chow chow relish, regular and spicy (sense a theme here?)

Pear jam (freezer jam which i have made before but never with pears!), Pear Ginger Jam

Pear Sauce (sense another theme)



Fried Green Tomatoes

Recipes Refined:

Home made bacon

Home made smoked salmon

strawberry rhubarb freezer jam

peach freezer jam

I will probably do some individual posts on these.
